You have probably seen charts claiming the best time to post on X is a certain weekday morning. They average many very different accounts. Your audience lives in its own time zones and has its own habits, so the best hours for you are in your own numbers.
Measure engagement by hour of publication
- Take your posts from the last few weeks.
- Group them by the hour they were published, in your time zone.
- For each hour, look at the average engagement (likes, reposts, replies, quotes, bookmarks).
- Ignore any hour with fewer than three posts: one lucky post is not a pattern.
Turn the result into time slots
Pick your two or three strongest hours and make them daily slots. Every post you add to the queue then takes the next free slot, so you write when you have time and publish when your audience is there.
Check again every few weeks
Audiences change, and so does what you post. Re-check the numbers every few weeks and move a slot when the data clearly says so, not after a single good or bad day.
How our tool does it
The Stats page computes the average engagement by hour from your own posts (three posts minimum per hour) and adds the best hour to your queue in one click. Statistics are read once a day from the official X API.
